FMS Seventh & Eighth Grade Car Project

Soon you will be learning how to drive and many of you will want to have your own car. But what kind of car would you like? And, How much will it cost?

You will be using Microsoft Word or Open Office Writer to do the following project.

You will be looking for the price of two cars in this project. One car will be your dream car! You can go crazy on this one. Pick the car that you have always dreamed of and price is no problem.

With this car you will have to:

• Provide the name and model of the car
• The year
• The cost and
• List all options.
• Provide a picture of the car

You must provide all the above information to get credit on this portion of the project.

In the second part of the project you will be pricing a car that you might be able to afford. Your budget will be fifteen thousand dollars. Your down payment for this car will be $1500. Sale tax equals $810. Insurance is $567 per year.

With this car you will have to:

• Provide the name and model of the car
• Is the car new or used?
• Manufacturer's Warranty (If New)
• The year
• Value of Car (Check Kelly Blue Book or Edmunds)
• The cost and monthly payments. Use Auto Loan Calculator to figure monthly payments.
• Reliability Ratings
• Mile Per Gallon MPG
• Safety Rating
• Odometer Reading (If used Car)
• List all options
• Provide a picture of the car.
